Dead or alive

IC’s Somaly Kim Wu brings to our attention an interesting tool from MIT that turns Information Commons on its head, scanning the Internet for common information about ourselves. Checking my name, one of two results was once correct (guess which one), the other thankfully incorrect.

MICHAEL P OLSON IS THE LIBRARIAN FOR GERMANIC COLLECTIONS AT HARVARD'S WIDENER LIBRARY, AND A FORMER CHAIR OF WESS

THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLD MICHAEL P OLSON WAS FOUND DEAD BY HIS UNCLE IN THE WOODS NEAR HIS HOME IN EAU CLAIRE, WISCONSIN

Check Personas for yourself.
